DIY BBQ Chips

These chips are so easy to make and delicious.

REMEBER THAT OIL IS FREAKING HOT so be careful. Kids.. don't do this on your own. Ask for and Adult to help.

Idaho Potatoes work the best. Slice up thin and soak in water over night... best when you let the water pull some of the starch out of the potato.

Get the oil hot and make sure you let the potato slices dry off a bit when you take them out of the water. Water and Hot Oil do not go well together.

Fry the chips until they float. Use vege oil..but don't expect the oil to brown the chips right away. Leave them golden yellow.

Mix up your spice. We used a dry rub, Chili Powder, Fajita Seasoning from a "Taco Fajita" powdered mix in a bag. Pick your fav, add some dry mustard to it, mustard powder.

Drop the chips in a bag with the dry mix and shake away. Ad a few squeezes of lime to the chips, lightly salt and enjoy.
